Army Telemedicine Program Tackles ER Wait Times

This month, the U.S. Army implemented a digital health initiative to reduce the amount of time patients will spend in the emergency room. During the six-month pilot program at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Kentucky, non-ugent patients will be screened using telemedicine technology. The idea is to connect these patients to a primary care physician and allow the hospital's emergency medicine physicians to focus on critical patients.
