The co-founders of Physician 360 are both board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians with remarkably different backgrounds. We are also parents, and patients, and understand the importance of keeping your family healthy.
The Story of Physician 360
Introduced by a mutual acquaintance, ER doctors Angela Fusaro and Rob Lapporte came to the same conclusion: many people who come to the ER could be better helped in a different setting. These patients could be tested and diagnosed effectively and efficiently somewhere else. Since excess of non-emergency patients in emergency rooms is one of the factors that drive up costs and wait times, Angela and Rob wanted to find a way to save patients who need basic medical tests time and money, while also alleviating overcrowding in ERs. Telemedicine solutions had been available for a while and had proven cost-effective, but remote diagnose can only go so far without the ability to have access to test results for common illnesses. The solution, they realized, was to put those tests directly in the hands of patients. Enter Physician 360.

In addition to Strep tests, the Physician 360 team identified three other common, low-acuity tests that are frequently administered in a doctor's office but could easily be conducted off-site by a patient: UTI, Flu, and Anemia tests. The tests are the same quality and accuracy as those administered in a doctor’s office and they include a physician consultation via your smartphone; you are literally purchasing a substitute for a complete medical appointment in a box. Getting that second part to work was no small task - Physician 360 needed to find doctors to be ‘on-call’ for every state it operates in. First Rob and Angela called on their personal networks; friends from medical school, past and present colleagues and even the occasional spouse. No one was off limits was the strong courting techniques and charm of these determined co-founders. But soon enough, Physician 360’s reputation spread and now providers reach out to them, wanting to be part of this amazing journey.

In 2018, everything finally aligned to launch: products to ship, doctors for consults, and website to order. As with any good startup founder, Angela and Rob wore wear multiple hats every day — from hand-packing kits and studying logistics to giving phone consultations. As word spread about the tests, independent pharmacies became very interested to offer the kits as a cost-effective alternative to big-box pharmacy clinics and doc-in-the-box services.

Today, the team at Physician 360 is working to bring cost-effective telemedicine testing and treatment to every state in the country. The unique challenge of state-specific regulations and requirements can be daunting, but Angela and Rob are determined to bring at-home testing to as many people as possible. Currently available in 37 states in more than 400 pharmacies, Physician 360 is thriving and helping patients take control of their healthcare every day!
Dr. Angela Fusaro, MD, MBA, is an Emergency Medicine physician in Atlanta, GA. She leads a national workshop, Insight to Innovation, that helps other physicians translate clinical insight into marketable products. Dr. Fusaro has extensive leadership experience in organized medicine, serving on the Board of Directors of national organizations, where she drove business improvements and managed strategic changes. Dr. Fusaro has been instrumental in seeking opportunities for Physician 360 to grow its business. She sets strategic goals for the company, ensures resources are properly aligned to achieve them, and monitors performance as compared to competitors.
Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Rob Lapporte, MD, has been practicing evidence-based clinical medicine in emergency rooms and urgent care centers for almost two decades. Dr. Lapporte's customer service prowess has been instrumental in designing a tool that patients want and is easy to use. Dr. Lapporte's background also includes a medical directorship of one of the most successful free-standing emergency rooms/urgent care centers in the Dallas metropolitan region.
Brooke has worked in multiple facets of the marketing, most recently as a Senior Partner Marketing Manager and Head of Global Strategic Engagement Marketing for Amazon. Previously, she was a Brand Manager of $1B+ multi-product portfolio. She has leveraged all of her experience together to serve as the Marketing Strategist for Physician 360. She is responsible for designing the marketing strategy of the company, and all elements of directs media relations, branding, advertising and digital media development.
Jason Yarbrough joins Physician 360 after spending several years building a successful small business in the Oklahoma City area. He brings over 15 years of sales and operations experience in multiple industries, including retail pharmacy. Jason has a passion for connecting customers with products and services that will truly have a profound impact on their business. Jason is responsible for developing strategic partnerships and sales tactics, sets revenue targets for the company and monitors performance metrics year over year.
